Big lights?
Dec. 19th, 2002 06:46 amI'm mostly just writing so that everybody can see how early I am to work today.
On my way in this morning the moon was on its way down. It hung just over the horizon, a pale yellow, a BRIGHT pale yellow. Gorgeous.
I got spam today with the subject line "Electric Scooter - Number One Xmas Gift!" but yesterday I got one that said that RC cars are the number one Christmas gift so WHICH IS IT??
Man, I can't believe I'm writing a journal entry about the spam that I've received. That's like the lowest of the low. That's one short step above quiz results.
I'm not sure what kind of lights to put on my tree this year. My family always used small colored lights, so that's what I like, but the new colored lights are weird. There's pink, where there weren't no pink before; and the yellow is too yellow and not enough orange. I think that when you know something a certain way when you are a kid, it's hard to think of that thing in a different way. But white lights are too boring. I was thinking maybe one of those white-and-red strands? The tree at 508 has blue-and-white and it looks great. Or maybe big lights? Man, big lights. Big lights remind me of my grandparents' house. Too old-school for even ME. It's hard to tell whether I can pull off big lights or not. Perhaps I'll buy one strand and t'row it on and if I don't think it works, I'll use them outside.
I got my tree Tuesday night and yesterday I went to water it and it was almost completely dry in there. Hooray! You suck little tree, suck! It's good to know you're kind of still alive!
