HST Birthday Party Pictures

Man, I'm in a really cranky mood today. I have been since I woke up; I must have been having a frustrating dream. All I want to do is leave work and grump around and be lazy and selfish. Well, more lazy and selfish than I am on a regular basis.
So you know what I did? I fixed a CSS file associated with the photos from last year's birthday party. It needed a three-letter correction. That's it. Three letters. This page has been languishing on my website, un-linked-to, for almost a year because of three stupid letters. I -- I don't even know. I'm an idiot? I'm neurotic? Somewhere around there.
Anyway, here are the aforementioned pictures. It is a blast from the past. Also it is an awful lot of Hawaiian shirts.

Date: 2006-03-16 04:59 pm (UTC)I understand the grump factor. That's why I think we need a color-coded balloon system to tie to the back of our chairs at work. Red balloon = Don't even try fucking with me. You will pull back a stump. Green = Come on in, and yes, please do tell me about what your new baby did last night.

Date: 2006-03-16 05:02 pm (UTC)The final step is to stack sugar cubes on a rack over the pot, pour warmed brandy over the cubes, and then light them on fire. Then you ladle the wine over the flaming sugar until it all melts into the wine. Exciting AND delicious!
I think that people at work (and elsewhere) think I'm moody, but I'm like, isn't *everyone* moody? Sometimes you're in a great mood and other times you just want to be left alone. Big deal. Just leave me alone right now, and we can have a nice chat when I'm feeling better.

Date: 2006-03-16 06:29 pm (UTC)Anyway, good job on the pics. I love looking at collections of pics a year or more after they were taken, it's cool to remember what everyone looked like. You've reminded me I've got a bunch of stuff I need to get onto my LJ scrapbook. What image editing software do you use, and does it have any scripting features that let you automatically resize and compress a whole folder of pictures at once? All my stuff is at a huge resolution and each one is like a MB.

Date: 2006-03-16 05:05 pm (UTC)I know, right? Too many pictures. Maybe that's why I don't take as many anymore, I'm editing myself beforehand? Eh.

Date: 2006-03-16 06:17 pm (UTC)It was a link color change. So, um, 9C9. I guess it was two numbers and a letter.
I like that we get to see so many people at that party who are not around to come to my parties anymore. You and Tami are in Paris, Jeebes is in California, Jeff is in California, Sean's dead . . . it's so great to see everyone having a good time in Hawaiian shirts together again!
