A weird thing about working at such a gihugic company is that there are a lot of people who could potentially die. Yesterday I received two (2) emails notifying me of the deaths of relatives of employees. I get at least one a week.

Are these employees in the Philly area? I mean, do you get e-mails like "John Doe's mom died yesterday. John Doe works in the Conneticut office...."

At least you don't get bagel announcements from Liverpool.

Usually they get sent out to "NEC Staff", which means anywhere from D.C. up to Boston. Which is usually ridiculous, but our employees DO travel a whole lot, so it kind of makes sense. I mean, we might know these people.

Oh, I've gotten three more since I originally posted this. Really.

I got invited to a meeting in London.

I work in NJ.

If they were willing to pay travel, room and board, I'd have gone.
